Outside the lines

Pickings that are left in the 2013 class are slim, but Ohio State coaches aren?t done trying to fill at least one more position. Ravenel?s departure after this season will leave Amir Williams and Trey McDonald as the only posts in the program. Recently, the Buckeyes offered a scholarship to 6-foot-9, 235-pound Gavin Schilling, a Chicagoan playing at Findlay Prep in Nevada. Schilling lists Ohio State among 10 schools he is considering. Last night, one of Matta?s assistants reportedly was in Fayetteville, N.C., to check out 6-10, 230-pound Sidy Mohamed Djitte, who is beginning to attract interest from major programs.

Same HS as Amedeo Della Valle...

You'd think one of these big guys would see how empty our frontcourt will be and will jump at the chance. If not GS then some other late bloomer or maybe a tranfer. TM was reportedly sniffing around and recruiting a bunch of transfer 4s last Spring. Maybe he'll bag one this Spring instead.

I would prefer a actual high school recruit or a JUCO who could play right away rather than a transfer.
