"Crime Stopper" arrested for assault.

Aquille Carr, Baltimore high school basketball star, arrested

Aquille Carr, a rising senior and star basketball guard at Patterson High School, was arrested Friday on an assault charge, according to Baltimore city police and court records.

Carr, 18, a top recruit and The Baltimore Sun's two-time All-Metro Player of the Year, announced in January that he had committed to play basketball at Seton Hall in the 2013 season. He transferred to St. Patrick High in Elizabeth, NJ in the spring but said he expected to return to a city school in the fall.

He was arrested at 8 a.m. Friday on a warrant issued Tuesday. Police confirmed the arrest on charges of second degree assault and reckless endangerment, but said they had no details about the warrant or where Carr was arrested. He is being held on $50,000 bond, according to state court records.

Wiki
He has received numerous nicknames, the most noted being "The Crime Stopper" for his alleged effect on the city's crime rate.[2] His high school coach, Harry Martin said, "The crime in East Baltimore probably goes down during our games."

^^ I suppose a part of the crime rate going down when he's playing is partly due to him being unable to perpetrate crime himself. :)
