By Givler...making an official visit for The Game...has been talking with Meyer and Fickell...has an offer from TAMU and other interest from Kentucky, Kansas, Oregon, Arizona State, Akron and Minnesota.

IIRC he played DL in high school and was not recruited heavily. He switched to LB after entering juco.

Recruiting is starting to heat up for junior college inside linebacker Auston Johnson (Torrance, Calif./El Camino Community College). And while things might have fallen through on an official visit to Ohio State, they?re heating up elsewhere.

With offers from Texas A&M, Portland State and UTEP coming in, a new suitor is beginning a push for the 6-foot-1, 230-pound inside linebacker, as BYU is showing heavy interest.

In turn, Johnson is showing interest right back.
