'13 IL OL/DL Colin Goebel (Iowa Verbal)

Naperville North's Goebel has a favorite: Naperville North junior offensive guard Colin Goebel, who is 6-foot-4, 275 pounds, has a school he is calling his favorite.

"I really like Iowa, and it's fair to say they are my leader for now," Goebel said. "I had a great visit and I'm looking harder and harder at Iowa. "

Goebel, though, said he hasn't made a final decision just yet.

"I still want to narrow down a list of favorites, and I'll get that done pretty soon," he said. "But Iowa, for now, is at the top of my list."

Goebel plans to visit Iowa again April 21.

He has scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Eastern Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Miami (Fla.), Ole Miss, Northern Illinois, Toledo and West Virginia.

I have no crystal ball however it seems to me that if Goebel ends up in the Big Ten it will only be at IOWA or ILLINOIS. Too bad that other Big 10 teams don't value him like Iowa yet at least this makes his eventual decision much easier

Iowa cranks out pro lineman. If Colin ends up there, no shame in it whatsoever...
