SI recruiting Futures247 2012 rating
has him listed as the #1 player in Ohio and #2 OT in the land

http://247sports.com/Recruit/Ryan-Anderson-7480

247sports seems to have some major programming issues that they aren't fixing very fast. That rating is based off their list of top 2012 recruits and since it is listed alphabetically, Anderson is rated especially high (and guys like Adolphus Washington and Chris Wormley are rated much lower).

The list is alphabetical... but when you select the individuals.. the ratings are in there.. national, state and position..

Seldom does someone rated in top 10 of Ohio not get an OSU offer... We do make concerted efforts in keeping the studs at home

From other sources.. seems Anderson is very interested in tOSU as well.. been here numerous times and scheduled for next years camp.. Almost sounds like when we offer, we might get him quickly...

Yes, but the ratings in the individual profile are based purely on where a kid appears alphabetically in their top 247 list. In other words, if you look up Braylon Addison (the first kid on the list alphabetically), you will see that he is listed as the #1 overall player at his position, in Texas, and nationally. If you look at Avery Young (the last kid on the list alphabetically), you will see that he is listed as the #31 overall player at his position, #34 in Florida, and #247 nationally. The same goes for every other kid on the list.

Ryan Anderson is a really good player who certainly is in line for a possible OSU offer, but it is 247 Sports's lax programming/oversight that is making appear as great as his rankings in his individual profile are as tremendous as they are.

Anderson one of area's best

by Beacon Sports on November 20, 2010

Kent Roosevelt junior OL Ryan Anderson (6-4, 300) has taken unofficial visits to Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame this fall, according to Kent Roosevelt football coach John Nemec.

ScoutingOhio.com reported Anderson has an offer from Pitt.

"He has many other BCS schools showing interest," Nemec said.
