Hodgepodge's boy getting some press from Duane and Mark...

Underrated 2012 players

Mark Porter and I have been gushing about the class of 2012. It occurred to me that we have been talking about the same names. Here are a few names that you have not heard about but who will be on the radar of Big Four teams next year.

Kindric Link, 6-1, 170, CB, Piqua. I am absolutely amazed that this kids name is not out there. He is the best corner in the state and I think he is odds on to be a Big Four kid. Great looking body to fill out. Ball skills are top drawer. Watch him in his backpedal and then how he breaks on the ball once he finds it. Great looking prospect. I can't believe he does not have some offers yet. This is sophmore tape. I am very much looking forward to seeing his junior tape.

Ifeadi Odenigbo, 6-4, 210, OLB/DE, Centerville. What a year to be a great looking defensive end prospect in Ohio. Any other year this kid is the number one ranked defensive end. 2012 just happens to be a year when a player this good can't get a headline. He might get a look at linebacker. With a reported 4.44 that could happen. It would really boost his stock maybe even to Big Four status.

In regards to Odenigbo, I see him as a OLB like Woodley at the college level. His first step to the ball is awesome and he gets off blocks like an OLB should. I would offer him as an OLB and be done with it. Great talent.

Good call Hodge.

Scout $ - Odenigbo a Quick Study

12/12

By Trieu...talks about getting a later start to football because his parents were worried about him getting hurt...talks about the relief of getting his first offer (Cincinnati)...also hearing from Duke, Ohio State and Notre Dame.

I believe it's pronounced "Rock-et-man". Seriously, 4.44? That is speed we can use. Everywhere. Put him at LB, we'll be great against any spread option attack. He puts on 15 pounds of muscle or so, he'll be a great, great all-around 'backer. Hope we get this guy.

If he puts on some weight and drops to 4.6 speed (or so) you don't think he will be recruited as a LEO or DE?

I think OSU is in on a lot of DEs for 2011 and 2012 and numbers in that category are going to be tight...
