Urban is chasing lots of D-ends. You'd think he was less than pleased with the Buckeyes' pass rush, wouldn't you?

We haven't been a great pass rushing defense for a very long time. Gibson did well for us as did Carp and Will Smith but we've always been more about keep it in front of you and get the turnovers. I think our recent ends have been in that Cam Heyward mold (6'6" 275) rather than that smaller yet faster frame. I doubt very much that big hank see's much time out wide next year.

Agreed, I still feel that speed at DE, and OT are what seperated tOSU and most of the real elite teams they've struggled with over the years, USCum, UF and LSU (though they pretty much bludgeoned the Bucks in that NC game)

It sure seems the UFM sees some area of weakness (relatively speaking) and is trying to quickly address them.

It's great to have all of these highly rated DE's and OT's and Athletes as well show interest so soon after the new hire.

Get these kids on Campus and let them look at the facilities, the trophies, and even moreso, the depth chart and I gotta like our chances to land a few. Hamilton looks like a keeper.

Well he is addressing OL respectfully, but what I've noticed is he said we had as much speed LAST year as anyone. Since being named coached look at his offers they're all WR's and DE's to me that's just awesome because even though I've loved some of our past WR's we haven't had many Game Changers out wide or Dominant Ends in Tressel's tenure.

Now RB's, DT's, LB's, and Secondary were recruited very well though.

I've always said an elite defensive line = an elite defense. An elite DL shuts down the run, frees up LBs, and masks many coverage issues. All the title winners have an elite DL, including OSU in '02 with Scott, Smith, Peterson, etc. Long story short, the more guys like Hamilton we can get in on, the better. I love how Urban is targetting top flight DL and getting the interest reciprocated. Get Pittman and one out of the Spence/Hamilton/Fowler/Goldman category and we will be more than set when we add them to the class of Bennett, S. Miller, Hayes, and Farris from last year.

OSU should take them all if they can but, need some Tim Anderson/Hankins types just like Alabama/LSU has every year to make it a complete line.
