Well, call me a 'nervous Nellie' or a 'glass-half-empty' kinda guy, but if this apple doesn't fall far from the tree, then isn't he an OSU legacy? I'm getting kinda nervous seeing Tress & co chasing all these 4/5* OL, and seeing some of Ohio's best verbal to competing schools......

If the Jeff Davidson mentioned is our very own, then I say grab his son as soon as we can. I see that we're 'in on' a bunch of good-to-great OL, but worry about whether we can close the deal. Having said that, 'settling' for a 3* who may or may not develop is a tough call.

Finally, I'm glad I'm an armchair QB, and can critique from the sidelines, and not have to make the calls on the field like OSU's recruiting team. I'm becoming more fearful of the Tressel fate, and mayhaps this is what is delaying the verbaling of more kids. I get it, when they talk about waiting on the OOS studs, but a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush (as long as they produce on the field)......

USC coaches will be in town Tuesday recruiting Eden Prairie High School offensive lineman Nick Davidson, a 6-6, 275-pound senior who is son of new Vikings offensive line coach Jeff Davidson. Nick, who is also being recruited by the Gophers, said he has no favorites at this juncture.

Nick Davidson is a 6-7, 300-pound tackle who has moved into the Eden Prairie High School district from North Carolina. The son of new Vikings offensive line coach Jeff Davidson, Nick is as nationally recruited as any recent football player with the Eagles. The Gophers are recruiting him hard, and a USC representative will visit him Tuesday. Asked where Davidson will play, Eden Prairie coach Mike Grant said with a smile, "Any place he wants to play."
