Travis Blanks, S, Tallahassee (Fla.), North Florida Christian
Blanks is big and athletic and you can see why dozens of college programs want him. He?s probably more impressive in pads, but nevertheless stood out on Sunday. During the position drills, his footwork stood out. He also had a good day during one-on-ones in coverage. In all honesty, the drills are set up for the receiver, so Blanks winning his fair share of battles in one-on-one coverage situations was impressive. He won the defensive back MVP award for the event. Blanks is the nation's No. 215 overall prospect and Georgia and Auburn are high on his list at the moment.

While many are amazed by the plays Travis Blanks makes on the football field, second-year coach Robert Craft raves most about the senior defensive back's ability to handle the stress of being a big-time college prospect.
"We've had four dozen coaches in here in three weeks," Craft said. "Everybody from USC to Ohio State. Notre Dame's been here twice. Oklahoma. The whole deal."
The Eagles have several Division-I prospects on campus, but none rated as highly as Blanks. He is considered one of the top defensive backs in the Southeast, and one of the most talented players in Florida.
He has more than 35 Division-I scholarship offers ? and counting. But Blanks and his coach insist it hasn't distracted him from school or spring practice.

"In terms of maturity, personally, athletically, spiritually ? he's a head above all these other guys that are 17 years old," Craft said. "So he doesn't allow it to become a distraction."
"Coaches come by a lot, but I'm pretty level-headed," said Blanks, who plans to graduate in December and enroll early in college. "I know how to handle it. It's not hard to focus at all. I'm handling it well, but it has been pretty crazy."
