'12 FL DB Jordan Diggs (South Carolina signee)

S Jordan Diggs, 6-1, 194, Cape Coral (Fla.) Island Coast: Diggs, a three-star prospect, still has interest in Ohio State despite Tressel leaving even though Diggs was shocked by the news. Ohio State?s assistant coaches have cultivated fertile recruiting ground in Florida in recent years, and Diggs could continue that pipeline

?I want to see what happens to the staff, especially the assistant coaches that are recruiting me,? he said. ?Ohio State football will always be Ohio State football, regardless of who the head coach is.

He has other offers from Notre Dame, Auburn and around 20 other schools.

Diggs season on hold due to transfer

By Phil Kornblut
DB Jordan Diggs of Cape Coral, FL has had more on his mind that recruiting in recent weeks. Diggs transferred to Island Coast High School but has not been approved for eligibility. Diggs has been practicing with his new teammates and is awaiting word on his appeal. That has taken precedent over recruiting. ?I have not narrowed my list because I?ve been focused on the appeal and on the season,? Diggs said. ?I?ve been talking to everyone. I don?t want to burn any bridges. I?m still wide open. I?m definitely doing my homework to cut down my list.? Diggs said he called USC recruiter John Butler last week but missed him, and Gamecock recruiter GA Mangus recently wrote to him on Facebook. ?Everything is still good with USC,? he said. ?I?m more than likely sure I will take an official visit to USC. I definitely feel like USC will be on my list. My five official visits will be my top five.? Diggs said he?ll take his official visits in season. Diggs has nearly 30 offers. Some of them are USC, Maryland, Ohio State, Boston College, Nebraska, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Auburn, Notre Dame, North Carolina and Louisville. Diggs said if he goes to any games this season it will be to the local schools. He plans to make a decision either before the US Army All American Game or at the game.
