Do you think we have a shot at Howard? Seems like the Big 3 won't let him leave Florida.

Anyone of these kids is going to be a tough pull...especially with offers from Alabama, Florida, LSU, FSU, Miami, etc.

But OSU can at least get in the game for an official by offering. The OSU brand is a strong as ever in Florida these days and Coach Drayton will only bolster that.

Miramar cornerback Howard invited to 2012 Under Armour and U.S. Army All-American games
Patriots WR Lewis lands offer from Nebraska
February 21, 2011|By Patrick Lammer, Sun Sentinel

Miramar junior cornerback Tracy Howard, a member of the South Florida Express 7-on-7 All-Star team, was invited to the 2012 Under Armour All-America Game over the weekend, according to Express coach Brett Goetz.

Howard, who holds verbal offers from Miami, Florida and Florida State among nine offers, started his sophomore and junior seasons and was a Sun Sentinel large schools (Classes 4A-6A) first-team All-County selection in 2010.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder was invited to the U.S. Army All-American Game two weeks ago.

Tracy Howard is the last prospect on our list today and the Miramar corner is one to get excited about. Already given an Amry All-American invite, Howard has offers from Alabama, Florida, FSU, Miami, South Carolina, and West Virginia in addition to OSU, but once again he will be a tough egg to crack. The Florida schools and Alabama seem to have the edge out front here, but the Bucks are definitely on his mind and getting him on campus by the end of the summer will be key. Howard's great coverage skills and intelligence in the secondary make him an extremely valuable prospect, while his experience while playing for a championship winning program and the culture that comes with that are an added bonus that certainly will make Jim Tressel smile. If I had to pick it today, I'd say Florida State is the school he chooses, but in recruiting anything can happen.
