Meanwhile, Christian's 6-foot-5, 185-pound junior quarterback Shane Dillon continues to attract attention. He has offers on the table from Cincinnati and Ohio State.
Oregon recently intensified its interest in Dillon as has Stanford, Miami (Fla.), Tennessee, Colorado and UCLA have also pitched their hat in the recruiting ring. Dillon is the top passer in the eastern part of San Diego County with 1,636 yards and eight touchdowns, completing 115 of 233 attempts.

Good news for 2012 quarterback recruiting
Ohio State has offered two quarterbacks in the 2012 class, Jameis Winston of Alabama and Shane Dillon of California. Winston isn't coming here, but Ohio State is in the game for Shane Dillon.
Miami receiving a commitment from QB Gary Crow is big, because Shane Dillon and his family grew up fans of the Hurricanes and the Hurricanes had a huge hole on their depth chart, making them very attractive to Dillon.
With Braxton Miller on campus and Cardale Jones at prep school, Ohio State isn't going to chase mediocre quarterback targets just to fill space. They will only pursue a select few elite national quarterbacks, and Dillon is by far the best bet for the Buckeyes right now.
