Wallace is the prototype at middle linebacker. He has the size and frame to be an absolute beast. He really excels in covering the run but also has the wheels to play back in some coverage situations. When he?s free in pursuit Wallace shows just how active he can be from his linebacker position and he is always around the ball, always.

Scout Bio said:
As a junior in 2009, Anthony Wallace helped lead Skyline to the State Semi-Finals and earned All-District honors while racking up 90 tackles. He says he can bench 335-pounds and squat 420.

Wallace says he wants to be a pilot and hopes to major in aviation or engineering. He reports a 3.5 core GPA but has not scheduled to take the SAT or ACT yet.

Wallace: "I'm big and I can be physical, plus I can run with the receivers. I'm pretty fast. I can cover and I?m a good run-stopper.

"I want to use my hands more and have better technique."

Scout $ - New LB Offer Coming From Buckeyes?

8/16

By The Bank...Anthony reached out to OSU and OSU has requested transcripts.

Kid has offers from just about everyone...Miami, USC, Notre Dame, Texas, Tennessee, Stanford, Georgia, Alabama, etc...

I really like to hear kids express an interest in more than just the football program. For one, I feel better about rooting for a student athlete that's actually a true Student Athlete, not some Reggie Bush. Second, although I'm 100% biased towards Ohio State and everything about this oasis of awesome, our University offers such a tremendous variety of majors and specialties. I can't express enough how awesome this place is and how much I've grown just in my 2 years here. Old Timers, you know what I'm talking about. Recent Grads, bet you wish you could come back.
Anyway, Anthony sounds like the rare type of kid we are rarely able to pull from out of state, and I'm sure we'd welcome him with open arms.

Hopefully he isn't one of those kids who simply wants to pad his offer list by feigning interest in schools.

Sounds like if OSU offers he is willing to make an official...that seems like more than just token interest.

Bucks Make New LB Offer | Bucknuts.com

Posted by Bill Kurelic on Aug 24, 2010 at 05:09 pm

Linebacker Anthony Wallace (Dallas, Texas/Skyline) is now among the prospects the Buckeyes have offered a scholarship.

According to his mother, the 6-foot-2 and 225-pound Wallace received an offer from the Buckeyes at school today.

Wallace was a starter at defensive end his sophomore season and inside linebacker his junior season when he made 80 plus tackles including five sacks.

Wallace has approximately 30 scholarship offers. His list includes Ohio State, Texas, Oklahoma, USC, UCLA, Arkansas, Kansas and Miami.

Wallace told Bucknuts.com earlier this month that he has a definite interest in Ohio State, and was hoping the Bucks would offer. He indicated if the Bucks were to offer he would very likely make an official visit to Ohio State.

In addition to Wallace, the Buckeyes also have offered a scholarship to two other linebackers, Ejuan Price (Pittsburgh, Pa./Woodland Hills), Conner Crowell (Waldorf, Md./North Point) and Kent Turene (Lauderdale Lakes, Fla./Boyd Anderson).
