Mikhail Seawood
Quarterback
6'1, 215 pounds
Warren G. Harding High School
Class of 2011
Mikhail Seawood reminds me of a younger, but bigger version of Alex Engram, a 2004 graduate of WGH who played quarterback there in 2003. Seawood has a strong arm to go along with his great size, and he doesn't shy away from contact.
Being so young at playing at the freshman level doesn't net you offers ofcourse, but Seawood is expected to see plenty of varsity action this fall. With the tough schedule that WGH plays, there will be a very small window for error. With that being said, the potential is there for the young quarterback to do some nice things. Engram, who is now playing football at Alabama State, didn't have the height that most big schools are looking for at quarterback (he was about 5'11, 212 in 03), but Seawood already does, and he's only 15 years old! Having size doesn't land you a Division 1 offer, so it will be up to him to prove that he can translate his skills to the varsity level.
Here is a film link of Seawood from his freshman year. Again, this is all against freshmen competition, but it includes highlights against some of the better programs in Ohio, including Steubenville, Cleveland St. Ignatius, Younstown Cardinal Mooney, Lakewood St. Edward, and Youngstown Ursuline. Enjoy!
