Massive offensive lineman Ray Ball of Westerville, Ohio, is taking a close look at MSU. Ball checks in at 6-7 and 320 pounds and already holds scholarship offers from U-M and Wisconsin, among others. The Spartans have yet to extend a scholarship, but his massive size would seem to be an ideal fit for MSU?s pro-style offense. Ball is looking to make a trip to East Lansing in the near future. MSU does have a solid connection with Ball -- he is the god-brother of MSU wide receiver B.J. Cunningham.

Yeah, Colvinnl you nailed it. Wiscy seems to churn out at least one AA lineman a year, and if they're interested in this 'un, then he has the chops to be a good 'un. Here's hoping that OSU starts their charge early, we've had good luck and bad luck with Westerville kids, but none can doubt the exposure to OSU football and ability of parents to see their games. We lose all of our 1's and some of our 2's over this and next years, so that should auger well for someone coming in. The PT gurus can take about 30-40 lbs of fat off of him, and rechisel back about 20-30 on of muscle.

Ball is a senior this year, and Ohio State already has commitments from four offensive linemen, plus an offer out to Aundrey Walker from Glenville. Looks like there won't be any "charge" here.

I think we need to offer this kid, a legit tackle. I dont know if any of the current commits have that ability, But i hope im wrong. I wonder what the staff plans on doing once Adams and Shugarts leave? Yes, i know we have Hall, and Norwell, But what about Depth? and What if Norwell doesnt pan out? I am all in for offering this kid, it wont hurt to offer him to come in and compete, and if things dont work out we have Depth. Idont understand why the staff brings in so many DBs every year, and not as many Offensive lineman.

Another wild boar of a kid heads to Wisconsin. They have been producing NFL Tackles out there recently, I can't really fault him given the offer list. Recruiting rankings aside, Wisconsin does a great job of molding big strong kids into productive players.
