Outstanding
Storm Trooper
He played a heck of a game, I would love to see an offer made if we miss out on a LB'er.
Very impressive.

Steven Daniels, LB, Cincinnati St. Xavier (Class of 2011): If you have been a regular on my blog you know I have had Davis one of my top five linebackers in the state. I have never understood why he did not have offers from any of the Big Four. They have to take another look after the game he had versus Olney (Md.) Good Counsel. He was all over the field. He showed instincts and speed.
When it comes to why he hasn't seen more offers, I've wondered about his size. Maybe he is closer to 5-11 and 240 than 6-1, 230. He looks 6-1 and 230. I spoke to someone who has seen him up close. Says he is at least 6-0 and probably his listed 6-1. I can't imagine grade problems or off the field issues with a St. X kid. I don't know what it is.
Finally, some kudos on the defensive side of the ball. The St. Xavier-Elder heated rivalry is one of the hardest-hitting games in the Queen City each season. St. X got the best of their crosstown nemesis with a 35-10 victory and stifled the Panthers with a swarming defense. The ringmaster was none other than linebacker Steven Daniels, who has already turned in a magnificent season. Daniels finished with 9.5 tackles, three sacks and four tackles for loss.
Daniels to visit Texas A&M

St. Xavier senior LB Steven Daniels will visit Texas A&M in January, likely the weekend of Jan. 15, according to St. X coach Steve Specht.
Daniels is working on scheduling visits that include Louisville and Kentucky, Specht said.
Metoyer is the only five-star in the prep rankings so far in 2012 and the first since offensive tackle Bobby Massie in 2009. He is followed in the rankings by four different prospects ranked as four-stars, a low number any other year. However, that takes nothing away from defensive back Gerod Holliman, linebacker Steven Daniels, athlete Jerell Adams and offensive tackle Isaiah Battle.
Daniels, a 6-foot-0, 225-pounder from Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier, checks in at No. 3 and will be playing at Worcester (Mass.) Worcester Academy. The hard-hitting linebacker make his presence known right away according to head coach Dave Dykeman.
"First off, he's a great young man with good character and he has fit in here quickly," said Dykeman of the Boston College signee. "He's fun to watch and I'm glad he's on our team because we can't block him. He's relentless, has great instincts and he does things on the field most people wouldn't be able to see. He has natural instincts, things you can't teach. His football IQ is off the charts and he's always around the football."
