Evaluation
May, 2010: Greg is a true inside player that is getting better each time out. He has added strength and is realizing his talent on the block and making a play every time he gets a touch. He can shoot a hook with either hand and has quick footwork and rise to finish strong at the rim. Lewis' length is effective reaching balls at their peak and altering shots. He has good hands and has improved his ability to pass out of the post. He still needs to get better at it and not let being bodied up alter his shot. He can step out to 15' and shoot it comfortably. Lewis plays a nice pick and pop game and has the athleticism to beat his opponent down the floor at a constant rate. A high major prospect with a ton of upside. Receiving heavy interest from high level conference schools.
January, 2010: Greg is an intriguing prospect with his wingspan and bouncy step. He is light on his feet at 6'8 but has narrow shoulders. Lewis is a solid finisher with his back to baseline due to his explosion to the basket. He is a quick leaper that is active on the glass on both ends of the floor. Greg has the ability to play in an up and down system. He showcased a soft touch and does a nice job of reading the floor without the ball, and shows his hands on cuts. He finds shooters passing it out of the post. Decent free throw stroke, good backspin. From time to time he would go silent offensively at the Beach Ball Classic but he is a prospect with length and potential in the 2011 class.
