'11 MD OL Cyrus Kouandijio (Alabama Signee)

College football recruiting: Checking in with Jadeveon Clowney, Ray Drew and other top undecided recruits in ESPNU 150 - ESPN

Cyrus Kouandijio (Hyattsville, Md./DeMatha Catholic)
Five-star offensive tackle | ESPNU rank: 6
Will Cyrus follow his older brother Arie to the Crimson Tide? That seems to be the common thought, especially with the way Alabama has recruited the past few years and all the success its had on the field. But Kouandijio insists he's open among 11 schools -- Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Maryland, Miami, New Mexico, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, Tennessee, USC and Virginia. He has taken the time to see a bunch of schools already like Maryland, Alabama, Iowa, Virginia, and Pitt. His plan is to narrow it down to five and then make his decision on national signing day.

One prospect who announced but has yet to send his letter of intent was Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio. The five-star offensive tackle committed to Auburn during a ceremony held at his school, but never sent his letter-of-intent.

According to DeMatha coach Bill McGregor, Kouandjio was unsure of his decision after his announcement. Alabama, where his brother Arie Kouandjio plays, also remains in the picture.

"All I know is he is not 100-percent sure of his decision and he wants more time. He has not faxed his letter of intent," McGregor said. "(Cyrus) finally called me back and said he's going to talk it over tonight, call me later and let me know something."
