Michael has offers from Michigan State, Maryland, N.C. State, Indiana, and most of the MAC. He had an excellent camp in Columbus and was told by Coach Bollman that if some of the current offers fall through, he could receive and offer.

Film

My Take: Whole film is at DE...moves well but likely not an edge player at tOSU. Michael is unpolished for sure...does not use that wingspan like he will eventually. However, he shows some attractive athleticism in a huge frame that is not close to being maxed out.

Carey, Ohio, offensive line prospect Michael Dennis has seen his scholarship offer list dramatically rise in the past couple months. The 6-foot-7 and 270-pound Dennis has started at tight end the past two seasons, but is being recruited as an offensive tackle.

Dennis has 13 scholarship offers including Michigan State, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina State, Iowa State and a host of MAC schools.

Dennis attended Ohio State's Advanced Camp on Friday.

"I loved it," Dennis said. "I talked to Doc Tressel and Jim Bollman. They said I performed well and I could possibly get an offer if all goes well. They have a bunch of out-of-state offers out right now. I should hear back from them this week."

The Bucks have offered two Ohio offensive linemen, Andrew Norwell who has committed and Matt James who has Ohio State, Notre Dame and Cincinnati as his top three. The OSU staff remains in contact with a number of other offensive linemen from the Buckeye State and have offered a half dozen out-of-state offensive linemen.

BREAKING: Carey's Michael Dennis headed to Michigan State

By JAMIE BAKER
Staff Writer
Playing in Carey’s wishbone offense as a tight end, Dennis rarely gets the chance to catch the ball. It’s almost as if he is a third offensive tackle for the Blue Devils.

“In college, he’s going to be asked to pass block a little more but he certainly knows all about run blocking by now,” said Carey head football coach Todd Worst.

“He’s just a great kid. He doesn’t thrive on the attention he receives, he gets his enjoyment out of seeing the team win. He’s really quiet and he’s not the type of kid who’s going to scream or complain.”

Dennis chose Michigan State out of more than a dozen scholarship offers that included Illinois, North Carolina State, Indiana, Iowa State, Maryland, Marshall and most of the schools in the Mid American Conference including Bowling Green, Toledo, Ohio and Miami.
The Spartans have had some success recruiting players from this area over the years.

Junior Marcus Hyde (Fostoria) is a junior defensive back for the Spartans and should be in contention to win a starting spot in the secondary. Another Fostoria graduate, Richard Newsome, played at MSU from 1997-2000 before spending a season in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints.
