Hubbard (Ohio) junior wide receiver Kurtis Drummond is one of the top athletes in northeast Ohio. The 6-foot-2 and 185-pound Drummond would have been a starter on the Hubbard football team his sophomore season, but played in only a couple games due to torn meniscus in his right knee.

Drummond started at both wide receiver and cornerback during his junior season and caught close to 20 passes, intercepted three and scored five times.

Kid has FS written all over him...Great ball skills, the ability to go up and get the ball, and as he shows in his first two clips, he likes to stick his nose in there and make the tackle...Will be interesting to see where he fits in...Kid is a player tho and BCS type player somewhere...

Hubbard (Ohio) safety Kurtis Drummond went north for two consecutive visits on Monday and Tuesday and came away with two leaders.

"I'd say from what I've visted, Michigan and Michigan State are the top two," he reported.

The Wolverines were first up, on Monday. Drummond dropped in during the middle of the Wolverines' summer camp and while he didn't work out, he did get to see the campus, meet the coaches and other staff at the school.

"I really liked the academic advisor (Shari Acho) at Michigan," he said, "and I liked the facilities and the coaches."

Then it was over to East Lansing.

"I liked it," he said of MSU, "I got a tour of the campus and facilities. I met with the strength coach the academic advisor and some players and they showed me some film of the things they do."

While he has these favorites, Drummond says he wants to take his official visits and thus, would not make a commitment until during or after the fall season.
