Armed with a 4.44 40 time, the strength to match (does 8 reps of 225), and an impressive 3.7 GPA, Andrew Zitnik has joined WGH's quest for a strong championship run (played at nearby Hubbard HIgh School, the alma mater of Shawn Lane, last year). In the season opener against East Cleveland Shaw (school of recent OSU commit Tyrone Williams), he made big contributions in all three phases of the game (offense, defense, and special teams). In fact, after nearly scoring on both offense & special teams, with Shaw facing a 4th & long from inside the 5 yard line, the punter intentially took the snap and walked out the back of the end zone in fear that Zitnik or teammate, Michigan commit D.J. Williamson (who almost scored on special teams earlier in the game as well), would do damage. Offensively, Zitnik finished the game with 2 catches for 23 yards, 2 rushes for 38 yards, and several key plays on both defense & special teams.

Recruiting wise, Zitnik is receiving interest from Pitt, Bowling Green, and Kent State. If the season opener was a sign of things to come, that list will continue to grow as the season progresses.
