Griggs is an athletic quarterback in the spread offense. He has good size and handles the position with poise and confidence. Makes good decisions when being pressured and knows when to put the football away and turn upfield. Has decent arm strength and is especially impressive throwing the fade and takeoff routes. Consistent also with the hook, curl and slant routes. Steps up in the pocket or can sprint out to avoid the rush to deliver the pass. An elusive runner once he takes off with the ball. Quick and agile athlete that can make sharp cuts once past the line of scrimmage in space. Handles pressure situations well and is red zone savvy in terms of the run and the pass. Griggs is a good enough athlete to play another position at the next level if he doesn't end up at the quarterback position. He is a real competitor and that can make things happen in the heat of the battle.

It's amazing the amount of talent put out by that school. It's not a particularly big town, and they don't get a whole bunch of press in the local market (HS football as a whole doesn't get a lot in NJ).

Pre-season second All American Tackle Anthony Davis from Rutgers went there (this might bring back bad memories).

Most of Rutgers is in Piscataway, not New Brunswick, I'm surprised they're not mentioned.

MyCentralJersey.com: Again, area producing top college prospects

Malcolm Griggs (Piscataway): Griggs threw for 1,342 yards and 19 touchdowns while leading the Chiefs to their fourth sectional title in seven years. No quarterback in the GMC may be as athletic or can ad-lib as well to make a big gain out of a broken play. Griggs projects as a defensive back in college. He is being recruited by Division I schools to play cornerback or safety. Cincinnati and Akron have already offered full scholarships. Boston College, Maryland and Ohio State are heavily recruiting Griggs. He remains undecided.
