    DELASALLE'S EVAN WILLIAMS

    Appearing in the Class AAA championship football game the past two years raised Evan Williams' profile among the state's top running backs. Heading into his senior year, he's expected to be at the top of the class.

    Williams finished the 2008 season with 2,092 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns. He saved his best performances for the Metrodome in DeLaSalle's two state tournament games, scoring a combined five touchdowns and rushing for 381 yards on 48 carries -- an average of 7.9 yards per carry.

    Williams has been invited to camps this summer at several major NCAA Division I programs. Ohio State has asked for tapes. The recruiting chase appears to be under way.

    It doesn't appear to be sped up IMO and he doesn't appear to be 190 lbs either. Moreover, they play in a poor conference with little competition.

    That sounded negative.. but I've seen him play and I personally don't think an offer is worthy in his case.. but I do hope him the best!
