Coaches don't recruit player for that long and be in the lead, and have it all blow up in a week. The Bolden to PSU and Boisture to MSU all happened over a 3-4 day period.
buzzy420;1489516; said:You are seriously misinformed -- Bolden visited PSU back in April and loved it, and at the time said he had no problem competing with Paul Jones. Since then the reports have consistently placed PSU among his favorites, so there's nothing sudden about this.
Guess what -- schools recruit kids for a long time only to have it blow up in their faces all the time, and when that happens fans concoct all sorts of ridiculous "explanations" which get accepted as fact and repeated by those sharing their delusions. But the simple explanation is the kid just likes another place better.
The best part about this alternate reality of MSU fans is they believe that JoePa is so desperate to get Bolden that he'll offer his dad a job even though PSU got a top 10 QB in the last class and has another already committed for this class. But hey, if you like goofy theories so much, then this page will be right up your alley -- feel free to share with your Spartan buddies.

Listen I have close ties to the Orchard Lake staff, and they like this family and cannot believe these accusations against this family. I remember earlier in the week when Bolden didn't commit it was because he didn't want to compete against Andrew Maxwell, who is a nice QB, but he's no sure thing by a long shot. Now he didn't commit to MSU because his dad is a cheater.
Please, if the dad had his way the kid would go to Northwestern or Vanderbilt.
sepia5;1489704; said:I agree. PSU would never offer a coaching position to an unqualified candidate for ulterior reasons.

I seriously doubt Bolden's Dad would prefer Vandy or NW over some of the other schools after him. I don't think of Bolden Sr. is an education first kind of guy.
That being said, NW would be a good fit for Bolden ATHLETICALLY. I think he could thrive in that offense.

I agree, not to mention two QB's of similar syles to Bolden(Robinson & Clark) have had success in the offense they run.itownbuckeye;1496796; said:I can't fault a kid for having confidence in his abilities. It's not like Jones or Newsome are proven commodities.
