'10 MI CB Dior Mathis (Oregon Verbal)

Midwest recruiting Blog - ESPN

No. 53 -- DB Dior Mathis (Detroit, Mich./Cass Tech)
The top schools on Mathis' list are Michigan State, Illinois, Oregon, Miami, Michigan and Tennessee. The first three listed are his current leaders. However, Mathis recently visited Michigan and a number of his former teammates are Wolverines. Though Mathis doesn't have Michigan on top right now, when national signing day comes around that's where I see him headed.
Prediction: Michigan

Mathis, Bryant narrow it down to six - ESPN

ESPNU 150 defensive back Dior Mathis (Detroit, Mich./Cass Tech) was in Ann Arbor over the weekend attending the Michigan-Western Michigan game.

"It was a fun game to go to," Mathis said. "I liked it. This week I'm going to the Michigan State-Central Michigan game."

The 5-foot-9, 165-pounder has approximately 20 scholarship offers, but he has narrowed his choices down to six schools.

"It's going to be down to Oregon, Michigan State, Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee and Miami," Mathis said. "I'm going to take my official visits right after the season. I know Oregon, Michigan and Michigan State will be three for sure. I have to decide on the other two."

When asked who his leader would be at this point, Mathis said, "Everybody is equal right now."

Junior cornerback Delonte Hollowell and junior wide receiver Kishon Wilcher, two of Mathis' teammates, also attended the Michigan-Western Michigan game. Hollowell has early scholarship offers from Michigan and Central Michigan, and may be on the verge of adding one from Iowa.
