#10 Iowa St +6.5 vs #2 tOSU (ov/un 141.5) Sun 12:15 CBS

Iowa State will be an interesting matchup. They are a dangerous team with great 3 point shooting, but OSU has some great perimeter defenders that can negate that. They do seem to have pair of good forwards that could give them trouble, but they're not that big and I'm liking the fact that they rely so much on offense and that's what OSU is great at disrupting.

OSU just needs to go out and make Iowa State uncomfortable shooting. Iowa State is going to get their 3s, so it's also important that they are efficient on offense and not trying to force things.

This..and like Iona, reward good defense with points at the other end. At one point last night I think we had 18 points off turnovers compared to 0 for Iona...really demoralizing for them I thought.

Iowa State is a talented team but I think they're not nearly as great a 3 point shooting team as they've been hyped up to be.

They don't have anyone I believe shooting over 39% from deep and as a team they're shooting 37.2%, which is 44th in the nation. They do lead the nation in 3 point attempts, so just an observation but the quantity doesn't seem to match the quality IMO.

It'll be weird seeing Korie Luscious on their squad too.

They also lead in 3 pointers made per game.

They're 19th in effective FG percentage, which takes into account the fact that making 40% of threes scores as many points as making 60% of twos.

Bottom line is we've got another one of the best offensive teams in the nation in front of us. We just need to do what we do, play defense, and exploit their weakness - defense.

Iowa State is 134th in opponents' effective FG percentage. The Buckeyes are 37th. Play defense, and win.

Had no idea Craft could dunk. Too bad he would never attempt in game.

Leading in 3 pointers is not a big issue to me...they shoot the most and shoot a decent percentage, not a great one like a Creighton, Indiana, Duke, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong because I don't have the effective FG percentage, but how different is it from Iona's because from what I saw they mirror each other pretty closely in style and results.

Yes, the talent level is different but the style of play appears to be eerily similar and I think that bodes well for tOSU. Three's create long rebounds which creates run outs and we saw that works well for us especially with Sam emerging more and more. I still just feel ISU's reputation is slightly ahead of what they really are.
