From the OSU site...had a huge game against Naples HS last year and his coach thinks OSU probably saw him while watching film of Carlos Hyde...has offers from Clemson, West Virginia and Wisconsin and is hearing from OSU and Miami.

Shocked no one is talking about this kid yet...Roderick Smith and Erick Howard are great looking backs but I don't think Hall takes a back seat to either of them. Kid is over 6-foot and 200 lbs and runs a 4.4 or faster (according to this coach)...and I just watched his film on Scout and I am thoroughly impressed. I have not see much of Smith yet, but I plan to...but I have seen plenty of Howard's film and without getting more of a look at these two side by side or in person I don't know how you would pick one over the other. Howard may get a slight nod for balance and the fact he was consistent all year, but Hall is a bit faster and may have just as much ability to break a tackle, near as I can tell.

He used to play slot receiver as a freshman. Helps with working in space. It will be interesting to see how OSU handles this.

The guy's legit. The district where he plays isn't known as a powerhouse district. However, his team (and Hyde' Naples High) team were the two best in their district and Lely lost a very close playoff game and actually did quite well against Hyde and Naples during the season (even though they lost). Hall is a major reason Lely had success this year.

Didn't we just sign a class with 3 RBs?

Yes, I know and I wasn't implying that they are not great either. But that should not deter us from a couple more this year, does it? We have always been known for our great running game because year after year we get quality running backs along with some great OL.

I'm not trying to dump on this kid, he looks solid. I just didn't know if there was some particular impetus to sign more running backs of which I am not aware. It seems like we need to build some depth at QB and DL more than RB, that's all.
