Under the radar
Deon Rogers
(Port St. Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast)
College: Georgia
He may be small and a bit raw as a true outside linebacker prospect, but Rogers has great burst off the snap and coveted chase speed from the backside. In our opinion, this talented pass-rusher is another out-of-state steal for Georgia. He plays on the same team as ESPN's No. 1-rated linebacker Jeff Luc and is just as physical and quick off the ball as his teammate.

I've long said I feel the Bucks have very little chance of landing linebacker Jeff Luc from Port St.Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast. My thoughts on that have not changed. While Luc has not ruled out OSU, I still don't see him becoming a Buckeye.
During the summer Luc and his teammate, linebacker Deon Rogers, visited Ohio State. This weekend Rogers returns for an official visit even though he has committed to Georgia.
"When I went up there (to Ohio State) in the summer I had a good experience," Rogers said. "It was nice so I wanted to take an official visit."
When asked if he might change his commitment from Georgia to Ohio State, Rogers said, "I'd rather not comment. I'm just keeping my options open."
The 6-foot-3 and 200-pound Rogers has scheduled an official visit to Georgia the weekend of Nov. 14 when the Bulldogs play Auburn. Jeff Luc will also visit Georgia that weekend.
Rogers said he also might make an official visit to LSU and perhaps one or two others.
During his junior season Rogers made 50 plus tackles including 12 sacks.

Recruiting: "[Georgia has] got faith in me so they allowed me to go.It?s my last year of high school, so take your officials. Right now I?m just looking everything up. I committed to Georgia because when I went on that little summer tour, I fit in at Georgia a lot more. That?s why I committed. Right now Georgia of course is on top. I?m taking my official visits just to see what?s out there and see what?s right for me. "
