'10 FL DE/TE Delvin Jones

10.7 for the 100... He's got pretty good speed to go along with the size. Would be interesting to see him at WR.

Shows solid hands with some nice catches in one of his Scout.com videos. However, I'd say no way at WR, but definitely a possability to be a very nice Flex-TE like Stoneburner... and we'll see how that'd work out this year once Stoney gets some PT.

He is still going to be playing defense next year in addition to offense. He has said that schools are recruiting him as DE, ATH, WR, and TE. I don't think it is set in stone at all where he will play at the next level.

That's right, he's going to be playing both ways. That's commonplace for many athletes here in Miami-Dade and was common on the Palmetto squad last year. I don't doubt for one second that he will line up out at WR, too, because Palmetto's offense often has run 3+ receiver sets and he's going to be one of the tallest and biggest guys in the district and the southern half of Dade County. Palmetto will bring back next year arguably one of the best offensive lines in the county, some very good running backs that saw time when J. Berry was out, and they need to have a new QB (shouldn't be too hard there), but defense is where they need some help and Jones is going to be a major blessing for us.

He's tall enough down here to play the WR position. We don't get many guys that size to play receiver on this side of the county. Ever so often my high school (Palmetto) has gotten some very talented receivers over the past 30 years, but I don't ever remember a guy that tall except maybe our most famous football alumnus, the former Denver Broncos' TE Orson Mobley and he stood 6'5". For sure he's going to get touches at WR and TE. Palmetto had some decent guys play TE last year.
