'09 VA OL Morgan Moses (Virginia Signee)

Just got the email...surprised he can get through UVA admissions but apparently doesn't want to wait to see if he can get through OSU's admissions.

Again...PROVIDE A LINK IF YOU ARE GOING TO POST AGAIN...next person is getting their posted deleted.

I'll believe he has "made it through admissions" at UVA when I see he is enrolled. Until then, I'm not going to call the OSU admissions office a failure. Seriously, we know nothing still.

...And even if that comes to pass?

First of all, Ohio State should not be making admission decisions based on what other schools are willing to do.

Second of all, if (IF) any given student fails to get in, that's not a failure by the school, that's a failure by the student.

Unreal. IMHO, this is a collossal failure by OSU Admissions...I will never understand how a kid can get in to UVA (which is a great school) but not tOSU.

It just doesn't make sense.

Best of luck in Charlottesville...

Please explain the "collossal failure by OSU Admissions".

Which also is a Colossal failure by you for adding an extra 'L' to colossal.

He can't, since he already signed an LOI. As far as I know, you can only ever sign one. After that, you just enroll at a school.

ESPN is never wrong. He did sign an LOI and send it to Virginia - he just did it 52 weeks ago.

Athletes can sign more than one LOI, however. If somebody starts at a 4-year college, transfers to a JC, and then wants to transfer again to a 4-year college, they can sign a second LOI.

Also, by signing an LOI with Virginia last year, unless he received a qualified release from UVA, he could have been ineligible for at least his first year at another institution. This may have been the reason he decided to stick with Virginia.

My fault on the spelling, thanks for the tip, way to pick out the most unimportant piece of the post.

Like many of you, I am an OSU alum and huge OSU fan. But I can not fathom why it has taken this long to get a final answer (as reported by BK on BN) to Morgan Moses about his eligibility.

I don't blame him for wanting to get this over with and sign with UVA. UVA is an excellent school (just like Ohio State) and I wish him the best of luck there. But by all accounts, Moses wanted to come to tOSU and by all accounts, he didn't want to wait and instead wanted to take the sure thing. I can't say I blame him.
