JR. Stats:
Passing- 296 of 423 (69.9% completion percentage), 3,691 yards passing, 37 TD, and 10 INT
Rushing- 130 rushes, 554 yards (4.3 avg), and 7 TD's

Early interest in Ohio State, Oklahoma, USC, Texas, and Texas A&M. On film he shows a fairly strong arm downfield but puts a ton of zip on the ball in the intermediate passes. Decent running ability but doesn't blow you away. Great pocket presence and does a good job of finding the open man. There is a ton of talent around him though and #17 is a talent at WR. Needs to do a better job of stepping into his throws and when to put zip on the ball and when not to. Also needs some work on his deep ball. I think he has the tools to be a good QB but as of now I don't think he is a 5 star guy.

You would think that if we do in fact land Pryor this year that Rollison and the other Texas QB (Shepard?) are probably not coming this way.

However, if the unthinkable happens and we don't get Terrelle, we should be in good shape to land a blue chipper next year as we wouldn't have taken any QBs in 2007 or 2008.

I was going to say the same thing...anyone who is adamant about ahving "QB" in their thread title in '09 is probably a longshot at best...

Which is why I'm hoping Sheppard gets recruited as an ATH by all schools so we have a good shot. Rollison is likely a longshot but since there is interest and he is a top prospect (on Rivals), I figured I would post it should something strange happen. Rollison is strictly a QB imo unfortunately...

by Alan Wallace... Tyrik says he feels very comfortable at Texas Tech and could fit in there. They haven't offered him. He attended their junior day and plans to go to their spring game. Says he wants to stay close to home.

The Rider Raiders just may be playing on national TV next season.
Although nothing is official, ESPN2 is considering showing Rider?s road game at Sulphur Springs at 8 p.m. our time on Thursday, Sept. 11.

Yep, 9-11.

The main reason for the interest is the two quarterbacks.

Tyrik Rollison of Sulphur Springs is ranked the second best quarterback ? behind only Garrett Gilbert of Lake Travis ? and ninth best player in Texas by Rivals.com.

cont'd...
