2007 Defensive Stats: 106.5 tackles 5 INTs 3 FFs

Named 2nd team offense All-NEO Inland district. Voted the Hardest Hitter on this year's team. Likely to be in San Anotonio for the combine and has already been invited to a game at Illinois.

talked to his mother. Yes, he will be attending the San Antonio combine. He was at a Illinois game this year. Getting interest from Illinois,Nebraska, some big ten/mac schools,
Some sophomore stats, 54 catches, 900 y's 1st team all summit county :) , 2nd team all district and plain dealer/fox player of the week.
Some other notes, new QB this year, he got doubled coverage every game this year on a very average Coventry team. Same school as James Harrison, Coventry/Kent state/Pittsburgh steelers

I wish :biggrin: nothing like having a 6'8 wr. He loves OSU and has been down to a few games and OSU would have been his pick if he didn't win the lottery/NBA.:biggrin: and he talks to jeff walker like he's his own son. People never hear what he does for Akron.

WR Jeff Walker 6-3.5/185 Akron/Ohio/Coventry

Walker was the Ohio offense for the most part. He reminded us a little of another Ohio player who blew up at one of our combines a few years ago Jeff Cumberland. Walker has an outstanding blend of size, speed and athleticism. The long strider was tough to cover and any ball that was up in the air, he was coming down with it. Teams tried to jam him and he was just too physical for them. He is a little raw when it comes to route running, but nothing a position coach in college can't cure.

Jeff Walker from coventry (akron)

Ive been lucky enough to watch this kid play! Once the ball is thrown his way you know something big could happen! and with his size its crazy to see the moves he can pull off after the catch! Just last season he had a better defensive season because his highschool team was lacking a talented quarterback like the one he had the year before! im talking this kid was horrible! the kid ( jeff) has proved to me that with any decent quarterback he can do wonders! I feel this athlete could quickly adapt to any competition you put around him! He's proved it from the Performance he had at a camp out in akron ! With another year coming up it looks like His team Coventry will not have someone to succesfully get him the ball! SO Im hearing rumors he may be quarterback! which makes sense if you cant get the ball to your athlete threw the air why not start the play off with it in his hand! It will be ineresting to see how things will go! theres no reason why any college shouldnt take a chance on him! I am able to get the latest pictures on this athletes progression

very true about all. I was joking with his mother. He can throw it to himself:biggrin: C,oventry great in wrestling but, the rest of the teams need help bigtime

Jeffs Grades are big factor in offers to come

The only reason jeff hasnt received any offers yet is because universities are waiting on his end of the year grades.His accumulative gpa is poor but he has been working to get it up. and after his gpa has shown the kind of improvement they want he will be receiving offers. He has been receiving letters from all big ten schools , all mac schools, sum acc,and alot of others around the country. Sum smaller schools like youngstown st. and appalachian st. are also very interested in jeff.
