By Dave Biddle...Spiker talks about his experience at the OSU camp on Friday. His top 3 are West Virginia, Michigan State, and Indiana. The staff told him they will be in touch with Spiker.

OSU is EASILY #1 if they offer....

Being that OSU clearly won't offer, anyone have any insight as to where he will end up?

I had a small conversation about where he'd end up if OSU didn't offer and the person I was talking to made it sound like everyone who had offered was pretty even, but WVU was favored.

This conversation was a few weeks ago, so don't hold me to it. :tongue2:

I'll see if I can get an update in the next day or so.

Spiker commits to West Virginia

By SAM BLACKBURN ? Staff Writer ? July 16, 2008

DRESDEN - The wait is over for Ryan Spiker.
Spiker, Tri-Valley's standout two-way lineman, has issued a verbal commitment to play at West Virginia, he confirmed on Tuesday.
He will be a senior for the Scotties, who are coming off consecutive playoff appearances and a Muskingum Valley League championship.
Spiker chose WVU over Michigan State and Indiana. He also had offers from Cincinnati, North Carolina State and Wake Forest, among others. He had 12 Division I offers total.
"I went to their spring practice," Spiker said. "I really like the offensive line coach (David Johnson) and (Head) Coach (Bill) Stewart seems like a really good guy. Just going around campus and all of that, it just kinda stuck out to me. I fit in there."
