Can't believe we don't have a thread on this kid yet...I know I've mentioned his name in some of the threads and osugrad21 and I have talked about how much we enjoyed his film...

Weight: 293 lbs.

Watch the kid's film and you will see someone who plays with some violence in their game...

You hit that one on the head wad...I feel bad for the poor kids he is playing against...

I like him on either side of the ball...He/Bellamy/Tiller/Harris/Klatt are all fighting for the last 1 or 2 lineman offers, and for Spiker it is better to have the versatility to play on either side of the ball...

Spiker is a great last name for him. Love the burst he gets at the line for such a big guy. He carries all the energy from that burst into the first guy he touches.

I like him on the O-line better than the D-line based on the film, but he could definetly play either at the next level. He'd make one MEAN guard inbetween Adams & Brewster or Shugarts & Brewster.

I love his film...I like Spiker at DT personally. He has great athleticism and a very explosive first step. You can see it on defense but it's even more aparent when he is pulling. Great motor and tenacity. He is physically dominant...what kind of competition does he play? He plays to high and relies on his strength too much but you can tell he has some nice tools to work with. He seems more polished on the OL right now but I think if he gets taught up right at DT, he could be one heck of a force. Either way you look at it, he's very versatile. I will definetly keep an eye on how Ryan does at camp.

If he is every bit of that 293, how much room do you think he will need?

How much of that 293 is good weight? If he is already college-body ready, not much more. However, if he is like 95% of High School athletes, he is not developed yet for the next level. If Ryan is already maxed out, how much better can he get? Is he good enough now to play college ball?

It is not what he can do now...but he can do later.

My information is coming from a senior football player at Tri-Valley, just so everyone knows.

Apparently, Ryan visited Indiana over the weekend and is visiting Notre Dame this weekend. According to my friend, no offers yet. And he also said that he's pretty sure Ryan is a fan of Ohio State. :)

He is an OSU fan. Sounds like they're his favorite college team. He's heard from most Big 10 schools (not OSU or scUM). Not visiting ND as I previously said, but going to a camp during the summer instead. Indiana is very interested.
