Film.

My take: Clips of Mike playing RB, where he shows decent vision and great toughness. Hard inside runner who lacks ideal speed to be an offensive player at the next level, at least in these clips. His future is most likely at LB/DE...a Viper-type scenario. He could even be a future DT.

"Will Marrow be the next junior offered?" by Bill Greene...Mike talks about his current season and his relationship with the OSU staff. Names a top 5 of Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame, Florida and Michigan and says he is hearing from OSU, Notre Dame, Penn State, North Carolina, Florida, Nebraska, Maryland and Northwestern.

I was on the fence about Mike getting an offer before...I thought there was a good chance but just so much tealent in Ohio in the '09 class. But after seeing him play and talking with those that are familiar with him I am starting to become more confident that he will get his offer from OSU. Time will tell...

Marrow is a Zordich-type player, IMO...and I like going to battle with kids like that. There are athletes and there are football players...Marrow is a football player.

Marrow will have a test against Big Walnut's linebackers Ethan Wetzel and Will Studlein this Friday when Big Walnut host's New Albany in their final regular season game.

If tOSU is considering offering this kid then he has to be one of the best so I am not going to even question his football skill.

I will be able to get a look at him this week and he will be judged on how many rushing yards he gets. 0-50 maybe not so good, 50-100 ok, 100+ top running back. If New Albany runs anything tight, Marrow will have a hard time getting anything going. The only way to get the ball moving against the Big Nut rugby defense is to spread it out.

If he's a LB recruit, why not focus on his play on that side of the ball?

He is being looked at as a LB/DE/FB...better known as BIG SPEED recruit. The "LB" in the title is just our guess at where he projects...

From the OSU site...Mike talks about his season and what position he prefers. He is hearing from the likes of Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Rutgers, North Carolina, Nebraska, Illinois, Michigan State, Florida, LSU, Stanford and Kansas and talks about growing up knowing JT.

Tristan Moore scored on a 65-yard run with a little more than five minutes left to play and visiting New Albany kept its playoff hopes alive with a 24-17 win over Big Walnut last night in an Ohio Capital Conference Capital Division game.

From the Nebraska site...Mike's dad, Vince Marrow, recaps his son's season. Vince and Bo Pelini went to the same high school so he expects Nebraska to get heavy consideration. Says Illinois is close to offering, as could ND and PSU.

FYI, look for a very pro-OSU update on Mike later today...
