Sidney in 09, Thomas in 10. That will definitely work. That would be three #1 overall players in five years for Thad.

Summer Championships: Monday..........Sidney named Ohio State his leader and scored 30 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in a loss.
Rumor has it UCLA will be tough to beat for his services.

So why don't we list him that way as Sullinger, Thomas and others have been.
Now 17, Sidney grew up in Mississippi, but his father, Renardo Sr., made the decision to move his family out to Los Angeles a year ago in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath of his son being forced to sit out his entire freshman season at Piney Woods High because he lived too far from the school.
Ben Howland of UCLA is in pursuit. So is USC's Tim Floyd. Ohio State's Thad Matta has been a fixture at Sidney's games. Texas is also in the mix ? as is Memphis and Florida.
There's virtually nothing this kid is unable to do on the court. He can score in the post or on the perimeter. At his size, he's got some Magic Johnson to his game in terms of his court vision and passing ability. He can dominate on the glass and is also an imposing shot-blocker.
