'09 AZ DT Corey Adams (Arizona State Signee)

Good Luck Corey- Would have loved to follow you career in S&G.

On a refreshing side note, you gotta like how Corey did it. When he was sure- there were no hats on a table, no Hulk Hogan poses. Just call the coaches and have your HS coach announce the choice. And by letting everyone know when he was sure, we can fill his spot if we want to.

We might be able to challenge USC in 2 years. Our freshman class this past year is promising and we still have some big names on our Big Board for this year.

Still working on Devon Kennard? How'd you let Craig Roh and Taylor Lewan leave the southwest paradise for the septic tank?

Still working on Devon Kennard, Vontaze Burfict and Randall Caroll. Hopefully the Corey Adams commitment helps with them. Kennard visited this past weekend and Burfict is coming in this weekend and Carrol is next weekend.

Craig Roh never wanted to stay in-state. He has family in Michigan and never gave ASU much of a chance. Taylor Lewan's dad wanted to go to Michigan when he was a kid, but they wouldn't have him, so he went to Minnesota instead. So Lewan already had Big-10 ties and basically followed his friend Roh to Michigan.

ASU offered Lewan way early in the recruiting process - way before Michigan even knew he existed, but he too wanted to get out of state. ASU needs an OT commit more than anything. I can't figure out why we can't land ANY!! ZERO! You would figure someone would want to come because we have ZERO depth at OT and get super early playing time. Actually I do know why. Our OC and O-line coach SUCK and no one wants to play for them. ASU is getting good defensive recruits.

I want to thank all of you Buckeye fans for being cool/classy on the commitment of Corey. It always sucks losing a recruiting battle (ASU loses a lot of them and I know how it feels) but you guys have been very respectful to Corey and myself and I appreciate it. Good luck with the rest of your recruiting this year and please don't let Tajh Boyd end up at Oregon!

Actually, I hope he sticks around. He has proven useful. :)

OK with Corey to ASU as long as you beat Pete with him.
Best wishes Corey!!

Thanks alpo. You would miss me in the RR!!!

I'm telling you guys now, I think we have a shot at USC in 2 years, especially if this recruiting class ends up how I hope it ends up.

If I'm not mistaken, you are saying that ASU is going to be much better. Unfortunately, that hurts your chances of beating USC. Attract enough talent to be a 43 point underdog and call it a day. That has proven to be the most effective way of beating them. :tongue2:

That's funny, and probably the truth. They only seem to lose to the teams who they overlook. They kill teams they don't overlook.
