Youboty, a 6-foot-4, 246-pound defensive end, chose Marshall in lieu of offers from Louisville and Nebraska. He's ranked as the nation's No. 51 defensive end by the recruiting Website College Football: Rivals.com - College Football. Youboty also was heavily recruited by California.

Youboty's older brother, Ashton Youboty, played under Marshall head coach Mark Snyder when Snyder was an Ohio State assistant coach.
