Quinn Meets At Home With Spurrier

Fort Dorchester LB Robert Quinn (6-6 255) was the first prospect in South Carolina USC coach Steve Spurrier set out to see Monday on the first day coaches could make in home visits. "We sat down with my parents and talked about what they have to offer," Quinn said. "I'm comparing them to the other schools and what benefits they have compared to the other schools. They showed me the drawings of the new academic learning center they are getting." USC assistant coach Shane Beamer also was involved in the meeting. Quinn said he will be in Columbia Thursday night for an awards banquet, and the possibility of him staying over for an official visit starting Friday was discussed. "I'm not sure about that at this point," he said. "There's a slight possibility." North Carolina assistant Sam Pittman is scheduled to meet with Quinn Tuesday. Alabama head coach Nick Saban is due in Thursday but that visit will have to be changed since Quinn will be in Columbia that night. And Auburn is to have a coach in on Friday. Quinn said he does not have a favorite.
