Whitlock Sets Three Officials By Phil Kornblut
Chester DB Charles Whitlock (5-11 175) did not make to USC or Clemson over the holiday weekend but he has lined up three of his official visits. He goes to Alabama September 14th, USC November 9th and Florida November 23rd. He will set visit dates with Clemson and North Carolina in the next week or so. "The big thing is to get on campus and see games," said Chester coach Victor Floyd. "He's going to have to base his decision on the official visits." Whitock does not have a favorite among his final five according to his coach.

CHESTER ? For C.C. Whitlock, it was sort of like going back to the good old days in the Cyclone offense, when the multi-talented prospect went back to his old position, quarterback.
?When I was told about it on Monday in practice, I immediately said ?yes,?? Whitlock said in going back under center after starting at wide receiver the previous three games. ?It is a throwback to the old days.?
Whitlock responded to the line-up change in a huge way by completing 15-of 23 attempts for 185 yards and four touchdown passes in the 30-0 Cyclone victory over Lugoff-Elgin.
Charles Whitlock (5-foot-11, 175 pounds) of Chester said Monday he will commit to USC when he makes his official announcement in early December.
Whitlock was in Columbia for a news conference to preview the state championship games. His Cyclones will play Wilson for the 3A title on Saturday night.
?When I went on my official visit (to USC), this was where I felt more comfortable and I gave them a heads up on where I?m going to commit,? Whitlock said. ?It?s a really good fit for me because my family can get to more and more of my games quicker. That?s really why I chose them.?
