The Force

UTGrad - I don't like your update. Anytime an Ohio kid is down to OSU and Mich, and he keeps quiet it makes me nervious. Then again, at least he will announce before the fall so it isn't like he is just avoiding a backlash from the locals.

I'm optimistic rather than nervous. Considering his family history up north and the proximity from Toledo, Ohio to Ann Arbo Kevin has taken this one to the wall. If it were an easy decision, he would have gone over to the dark side already. Given he has waited and kept everyone on the edges of their laptops, IMO he's leaning our way. "Kevin, remember the Force. Let the Force guide you Kevin". IMO, Darth Vader gets his but kicked by Luke Skywalker in this episode. We wait...in the meantime in a galaxy not that far away, the evil skunkbears have assembled an invasion force and they are closing in. Will tOSU prevail? George Lucas always knew how to keep us in suspense.

Okay, now I'm confused.... Earlier in this thread, we had people saying that Toledo is in Michigan....

Wake me when the bad news is over.

Can this be drug out any longer? Toledo is symbolicly on the border of Ohio and Michigan but it is in Ohio just as Kevin Koger is on the border with his decision. I didn't take Sanzenbacher very long to find his way to C-Bus. Maybe Dane should call KK and check in. I like what Woody said about Michigan

Woody was famous for his hatred for Michigan and anything that had to do with the state (he referred to it, of course, as "that state up north" or "that team up north") . One night on a recruiting trip in the state of Michigan, an assistant noticed that the car he was driving was going to run out of gas. He let Woody, who was dozing in the passenger seat, that he had to pull over for gas. Woody refused, and the assistant drove on. The assistant, who saw the weather was starting to get bad, began to become worried about getting stuck in the middle of nowhere, and once again stressed his desire to pull over and get gas. Woody erupted: "No, ***dammit! We do NOT pull in and fill up. And I'll tell you exactly why we don't. It's because I don't buy one ***damn drop of gas in the state of Michigan! We'll coast and PUSH this ***damn car to the Ohio line before I give this state a nickel of my money!" The assistant knew he wasn't kidding, and they barely made it across the border and sputtered into the first gas station they found in Ohio.

That first gas station was in Toledo.

If KK comes our way I say we give UT a GPA for that one.

Actually it probably would have been in Sylvania, Ohio, which is a suburb of Toledo. I assume that coming back from Michigan, Woody would have been traveling South on US-23 which goes through Sylvania, Ohio at the border of Ohio and Michigan.

You are correct Sir, the in-laws live off the first exit at Central Av coming into Ohio from the land up north. There's a BP there. Back in Woody's era it may have been a Standard Oil gas station.

Fuel for thought (pardon the pun), will the recent football polls infuence any recruit thinking of which school to attend or are they smart enough to know these polls are all about selling magazines? I vote for the later. The Empire has many weapons, but the Force is strong with this one. Pick the Bucks Kevin, let your mind take control, the Buckeyes is the right team for you.

I forgot about the "goes under the bridge exit there". Good catch, you will be recommended as JT's recruiting official driver when trying to escape from the land up north! LOL- So when the car is in E remember what Woody would do and don't spend a dime on gas in the land of the skunkbears evil empire.

Go Bucks. Kevin, we're waiting.

Alexis is the 1 st exit coming from I75 (takes you to Detroit).
Come to the good side Kevin. We need back to back Toledo boys going to tOSU in this class to go along with Dane in last year's. GO BUCKS!!!

You're going to confuse LJB with that statement! LOL Alexis is also on the other side of Toledo off I-75. Woody must have gotten lost there once or twice, but he knew it was home by the sweet smell of lake Erie and Maumee bay at Point Place, OH (North Toldeo).
