Dysert is a three-year starter for Division VI Ada, and could be someone we look at seriously going into the fall. He threw for over 2,000 yards as a freshman, and 2,500 yards as a sophomore including 8 TD passes against Paulding (tied for second all-time in Ohio). Last season, he was 299-458-14 (31 TDs) along with 8 rushing TDs. Also has passed for over 400 yards in a game eight times.

Lists Cincinnati, Florida State, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Troy, Utah.

Here's video of Zac from Mark Porter's site:

Very impressive, IMO. Big kid with a nice arm who can make all the throws. Excellent mechanics and looks to be very well coached. He's no Terrelle Pryor running the ball, but he's got decent speed and he's tough. Level of competition is certainly a concern, but his tools are evident.

If we miss out on Pryor, and the coaches still want to add another qb, Dysert might be a name to remember...

they don't throw it down the field a whole lot, so I'd like to see more of that. but it was very impressive as is.

p.s. - i think it was worth watching the video for the hits in the first two clips.

If you want to watch the full video, its broken up into four parts on YouTube. 26 minutes long, not the greatest quality because it is YouTube, but there are a lot more downfield throws for someone who was mentioning them. The clip on scoutingohio.com was just the opening TV news footage plus a couple of the plays to show mobility and his ability to take (and deliver) a hit.

Any questions? I think I set up this account so you can e-mail me, so feel free.

Apparently the two Zac/k's had a nice duel at the Elite Skills Combine...

By Crabtree (who has done a great job of covering the Elite Skills Combine)...Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Akron have offered and Miami (OH) could be close.

As I mentioned after the Cleveland combine, it looks like it could come down to him and Stoudt. Despite the fact neither is likely to garner an OSU offer, '08 is certainly not a bad class from QBs in Ohio. Ryan Radcliff, Ross Oltorick, Travis Kelce, Domonick Britt, Marvin Stewart, Cody Reardon, Bart Tanski, Doug Reynolds and Trevor Walls are just a few kids that are getting D1 looks...not to mention a few athletes like Sal Battles, Juandez Brown and Jeremy Ebert who are getting looks as QBs too.

He is probably going to be the top rated QB in his class in Ohio.

Amazing. Sounds like he really performed well, and there were some quality players at the Cleveland camp. Tino Sunseri, Domonick Britt, and as mentioned above Zack Stoudt. Has a QB at the D6 level ever been considered the top QB in the state? Any chance of Mr. Football? I'm guessing his overall ability will be overshadowed by the fact that he is from a small school. A shame if that is the case.

I think he'll be overshadowed by Adams & Torrence, and to a lesser extent Rudolph, more than his small school status.

Bob Hoying was at St. Henry when they were D5, and D5 was the lowest classification. He was certainly the best QB in the state during his senior year ('90-'91). By the way, one of Dysert's WRs, Heath Jackson, caught 123 passes last year to smash the state record. Amazingly, Jackson was just a freshman. If Ada can find a QB to come even remotely close to stepping in for Dysert when he graduates, Jackson may set a career receiving mark that is virtually unsurpassable.

i don't mean to sound arrogant here but i called this kid out 2 years ago when i played ball against him. he was short then and a freshman i believe(?) but i played for delphos jefferson and we picked him off multiple times and handed it to ada but i told the guys on the sidelines that he had great mechanics and given experience the sky was the limit. nobody even stopped to think about it at the time but i could tell the ability was there even then for him to be something special. hope it works out for him.

He'll probably never get the record though. It's my understanding that Jackson was a stellar QB in midget and jr. high football and that this was his first year ever as a WR. I'm guessing when Dysert leaves, Jackson will be next in line at QB. Less arm, but possesses serious scrambling abilities.
