Fred also delivered the biggest hit of the state championship, I'll post video of that as soon as it becomes available. Fred was a key player on the best defense in the state as a sophomore.

Fred is exciting. I would bet he plays safety in college but he can definitely play linebacker if need be. Hits like a truck no doubt. I really do wish we had film of that hit in the state championship game the OP talks about. Anyone who can start as a sophomore on the defense that St. X had last year (gave up just over 6 pts per game) is a special player.

With his current size and considering he is only going to be a junior, I would think he projects more as a LB at the next level. Plus he has the frame to add weight and he may have another inch or two to go and weighs 205.

Craig is a bona fide badass. Taller version of Tyler Moeller....He is the one kid from Cincinnati in the 08 class that I want to see in scarlet and gray.

You have been spot on with about everything else out of the nati, so I am takin' your word for it...

Also since you said the one kid does that mean you are not high on Posey or just havent seen him yet?

I agree. To be honest, I have him as my 1b LB prospect in the state with my 1a being Torrence. He is very athletic and rangy. Any word on whether or not Fred has put on any more weight/height since his sophmore year H&G?

I like Posey...I'm just a defense kinda guy so I tend to look at the side of the ball first when it comes to recruiting. Craig runs real well for a LB, runs ok for a safety but has great hips and technique and hits like a damn mack truck...and he's as smart as they come. He's one kid that I want representing The Ohio State University.

I am not as tight with the St. X program (see: Clifford 'rumors' and who started them), but I like to watch him play...I don't know if he's gained any weight since the end of his junior season, but he did look bigger than he did as a soph. X has a great nutrition and weight program. Whatever he's doing over there you can bank that he's doing it the right way with some of the best nutrition experts in the state...heck, X has more money/facilities than God.

You have Staples pegged as DE or Craig ahead of Staples?

Both. I still need to see film on Staples and I have seen Craig in person twice. Plus from what I hear, Staples can easily grow into a DE, much like Nathan Williams.

I agree on Staples being able to grow into a DE. Him and Williams would be a great coup for DE and you one could possibly stay at LB.

Ohio is just loaded with LB talent and there are 2 studs from OOS that have us high on their list as well in Hale and Major. At this point unless Major really blows the coaches away on film I am not even sure if he will get a strong look...
