PrepStar (Free thru Husker Journal)

JANUARY 22, 2008. PREP STARWILLIAM LOWE, ATH, 5-9, 165, 4.5, CLEVELAND (GLENVILLE), OHIO

“I like Indiana’s business program.” said Lowe, “The coaches are really nice, they told me I can play early. The facilities are good too. I have teammates that play at Indiana right now.”

“When I was on my trip there (Indiana), I felt like I bonded with the players, that’s what I’m looking for.”

“I like a lot of things at Iowa.” he said, “The weight room is very nice and the business college is very good. I like the Big 10 conference I would consider playing in the Big 10.”

“North Carolina State was real nice.” said Lowe, “The weather is real cool, it’s the first time in three years it has snowed there. The coaches told me it doesn’t happen that often.”

“When I was there (North Carolina State), I got to meet the players and all the coaches. I like the DB coach a lot.”

“North Carolina State has a great weight room. I like the ACC, they have a lot of players in the NFL. Distance is not a factor.”

“I go to Michigan this weekend.” he said, “The Michigan coaches recruiting me when they were at West Virginia. Michigan has great tradition. Like all schools the coaches are good and the schools have great facilities.”

”Ohio State will get my last visit.” said Lowe, “I’ve been there before, it’s close to home. I know a lot of players that at Ohio State. The players seem to bond together.”

“I’ve been to Ohio State games the past three years. Ohio State game day atmosphere is great, it’s a big stadium and is packed.”

Lowe said he will announce his decision in two weeks. Lowe’s visit dates: Indiana (12/7), Iowa (12/14), North Carolina State (1/18), Michigan (1/25) , Ohio State (2/1)

Lowe set to play for Hawkeyes

Monday, January 28, 2008 Bob Fortuna

Plain Dealer Reporter
The Hawkeyes have swooped down and gotten another commitment from a Northeastern Ohio high school football player.
Tailback/cornerback Willie Lowe becomes the first Glenville player from this year's senior class to orally commit to the University of Iowa.
He'll join former Tarblooders Arvell Nelson, Derrick Smith, Bruce Davis and Lebron Daniel in the fall on the Iowa City campus. Other Hawkeyes from Northeast Ohio include St. Edward's Diauntae Morrow (who hosted Lowe on his visit), Ricky Stanzi of Mentor, Anton Narinskiy of Kenston and Avon Lake product Trey Stross.
