Scout Bio said:
As a sophomore, Green caught 70 passes for 1,241 yards and 15 touchdowns. He intercepted seven passes, two of which were returned for scores. He was named first team All-Conference and All-City.

Green has gained 1,700 yards from scrimmage and scored 19 touchdowns, 15 as a receiver, three on interception returns and one on a punt return. He has thrown four touchdown passes on trick plays.

As a freshman at Robeson, Green set a school record with nine interceptions. Green has become a national prospect with his combination of speed, quickness, athleticism and versatility.

At 6-1 and 190 pounds and running a 4.5 40, Green has drawn interest from Big Ten programs. Last week he made an unofficial visit to Notre Dame to watch the Irish play UCLA.

I will be attending Brandon Green's game tomorrow; as he will be playing against the school where I teach.

He is one of the top sprinters in the state, hopefully we can contain him tomorrow. He allegedly commited to Northwestern at the very beginning of the season, but a sudden large amount of attention by other shcools has left him saying that the commit was a misunderstanding and his recruitment is open.

I corrected the thread title and the initial post with the correct spelling of his first name (Brandin, with an "i"). He also doesn't show up in the Rivals database, but shows up in Scout with no listed interest in Ohio State. Not sure why there is a thread if there's no interest in/from OSU...

''Ohio State is my dream school,'' Green said. ''I've been watching them since I was little. It was painful to watch the Florida game."

Former Robeson coach Roy Curry and several other Public League coaches contend Green is the No. 1 junior prospect in the city.

I like.

Junior stats are sick:

62 rec. for 1875 yds. and 21 TD on offense
55 tackles and 8 INT on defense

WR Brandon Green 6-1 175 Robeson Chicago

Lemming says,

Class of 08 in Spotlight

Robeson's Brandon Green rates among the elite wide receivers in the country, along with Buckner, A.J. Green of Summerville, S.C., Julio Jones of Foley, Ala., and Michael Floyd of St. Paul, Minn.

• • Lemming's early list of nominees for the No. 1 player in the nation includes Buckner, Green, Jones, Floyd and 6-6, 225-pound quarterback/defensive end Terrelle Pryor of Jeannette, Pa., who has been timed in 4.4 seconds for 40 yards.

And this is my only area of concern:
"I'm looking for a college that will give me playing time and throws more than they run."
Though of the 4 listed schools only ND actually passed more than they ran last year, on this score Illinois has limited ammunition and ND's pass run ratio is possibly going to go down with ball in hand of DJ, or a maturing Clausen.

Sounds very encouraging for OSU...perhaps we can end our dry spell in the state of Illinois. Sounds like another possible 5 star that we are in the lead for(by the sound of his quote above).

Wow those are some nasty stats. 5 star recruit no doubt in my eyes. He runs a 4.5 40 and dont get me wrong that is amazingly fast but maybe to make him more dangerous we can try to get him up to a 4.3-4.4 if/when he comes to OSU.

Anyone know why we dont have an offer out to this kid... Sounds like a very good student... and geez he says we're his "dream school"... Dont exactly understand how an offer isnt out to this player already... Cant be letting Weis and Zook get any edge on us in this recruitment..

Sounds like we could be a definate lock for this kid if we get that offer out to him especially if we are considered his "dream school".

We can't just go offering a kid that says we are his dream school... Has he sent us his tape? That is more important than a comment about us being his dream school... Plus, there are several great skill position players in OH (positions we won't need many for next year) that will be just as worthy of an offer (and probably much more reliable for a commit)...
