USC Offers Arizona Back

RB Jamal Womble (5-11 220) of Sierra Vista, AZ was offered Thursday by USCarolina. "They said a written offer would be coming soon," Womble said of the verbal offer presented by running backs coach Robert Gillespie. "He had just watched my film before he called me and I know they are really interested." Womble grew up in Teachey, NC before moving to Arizona two years ago and said most of his family still lives in the South. That will influence his decision. "I would like my family to see me play football," he said. Womble plans to make unofficial visits in July to USC, North Carolina, Duke and NC State. Womble said his offer list includes USC, Oregon State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Purdue, Arizona State, Illinois, Indiana, Duke, Central Florida, Army, Navy and Utah. Womble plans to make his decision after hi season.

Womble Schedules USC Official Visit

RB Jamal Womble (5-11 221) of Sierra Vista, AZ has scheduled an official visit to USC for the weekend of November 24th when the Gamecocks take on Clemson at Williams-Brice Stadium. That will be his second visit to see the Gamecocks. He will make an unofficial visit to Columbia in mid July. "They said if I commit, I would be the only running back they take," Womble said of the Gamecocks' interest in him. "Coach Gillespie said I'm their number one guy." Womble also has scheduled an official visit to Nebraska for September 16th. Among his other offers are Oregon State, Wisconsin, Arizona State, Illinois and Indiana. He has camped at Arizona and will camp at Notre Dame Monday. Womble grew up in North Carolina before moving to Arizona. He will make unofficial visits to North Carolina, Duke, NC State and Wake Forest while visiting with family back in his home state in July.

South Carolina hopes to bring in a dynamic running back in this year's football recruiting class and the Gamecocks appear to be sold on the talents of Jamal Womble (5-11, 221) of Sierra Vista, Ariz. Womble has scheduled an official visit to USC for the weekend of Nov. 24.
"They said if I commit I would be the only running back they take," Womble said. "Coach (Robert) Gillespie said I'm their No. 1 guy."
Womble said he will make an unofficial visit to USC in July while visiting family in the Southeast. He lived in North Carolina and Georgia before his family settled in Arizona. Womble has also set an official visit to Nebraska for Sept 16. He has offers from Oregon State, Wisconsin, Arizona State, Illinois and Indiana. He has camped at Arizona and is camping this week at Notre Dame.

Jamal loved his visit to UNC this past weekend and says that they are his clear leader. Jamal already visited Boston College, has visits set up to Wisconsin and South Carolina, and is setting one up with Nebraska. He will still take his visits before deciding.

If you still hang around the board at all Jamal, best of luck with your decision...
