Vaughn has finished his junior season. Apparently, is hoping for a NC offer but that is unlikely. Vaughn will be narrowing his list in the near future. Boston College, Clemson, Kansas, Maryland, Miami, Fla., Michigan, NC State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest have offered.

Vaughn waiting

Julian Vaughn is Smith's teammate on the Assault, and he plans to transfer to Oak Hill Academy for his senior season and become Smith's teammate in high school.

Apparently, Vaughn also wouldn't mind playing with Smith in college.

Vaughn, a 6-10 center who is one of the top post prospects in the Class of 2007, listed Duke as one of his six favorite schools Saturday after the Assault lost to the Richmond Squires on a buzzer beater. He also named UNC, Virginia, Georgetown, Tennessee and Georgia, but he said he hasn't received offers Duke and UNC.

Vaughn said he enjoyed speaking with Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and assistant coach Steve Wojciechowski recently, but he's going to take his time with the recruiting process.
"I'm going to try to cut it down in July," he said of his list. "But I'm not going to rush it, if I'm not ready."
