By Colin Dunlap, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
SCHOOL: Gateway
POS: WR/TE
HT: 6-4
WT: 221
THE SKINNY: One of the most heavily recruited and top-ranked players in the state, Ditto has the mixture of size and speed to change the outcome of a game. A starter since his sophomore year, he caught 29 passes for 508 yards and scored five touchdowns last season.
COLLEGE TALK: Committed to Penn State. Had dozens of scholarship offers and narrowed his choices to Pitt, Penn State, Michigan and Ohio State before selecting the Nittany Lions.
FAVORITE FOOD: "Mashed potatoes, but only a certain kind. The ones my Aunt Pam and Aunt Linda make."
YOU SEEM LIKE A SOFT-SPOKEN, POLITE KID. SOMETIMES, DO YOU WISH YOU WERE MEANER ON THE FIELD: "I play hard on the field. I let my play speak for itself and I think a lot of people take it the wrong way because I don't talk crap like a lot of high school players do. I just play football. I think more people should approach the game that way."
WHAT IS THE MOST BONE-HEADED THING YOU'VE EVER DONE ON THE FIELD: "There were a few times where it was late in the game and I was tired and just not focused when we called a pass play and I didn't realize it. So, I would come off the ball and block when I should have been running a route."
PERSON YOU WOULD MOST LIKE TO MEET: "Probably Lance Armstrong. My friend, Jon Houy, died of cancer and he really looked up to Lance."
PEOPLE MIGHT BE SURPRISED TO KNOW THAT: "Everyone thinks I'm this real quiet person but that isn't necessarily the truth. When I get to know you, I'm definitely not quiet, I open up some."
