'07 OH RB Morgan Williams (Toledo walk-on)

My Brunswick Blue Devils get the unenviable task of trying to stop Mr. Williams. Williams sure does seem like a terrific RB....i hope he starts hitting the books as hard as he does the opposing defenses.

He grew up being a Buckeye fan and says that alot of McKinley players have gone to OSU and he would like to keep it that way.

Love hearing stuff like this. I love signing the kids who really want to be buckeyes and bleed S&G.

Hopefully it works out for guys like Morgan and Devon Torrence.

It pains me when guys like Javon Ringer who really want to be buckeyes don't get that offer they are waiting for. Especially when they tear it up somewhere else.

Is it the consensus that he is the best runningback in Ohio next year?

There aren't enough offers to go around for Herron, Saine, Mabin, and Stephens in one year. I wouldn't be surprised to see us offer Saine as a safety/athlete type player, but I don't know about the others. I just hope we get the best of the bunch.

I really have no idea who the best running back is. Last year at this time we were singing that it would be the year of the QB and we thought we would have to take two there were going to be so many good ones. Well right now not one of them are going to get offered and probably wont.

I think right now that Stephens is the class of that group, but he is OOS, I am not sure about in-state.

I like what I have saw out of Mabin, and heard from Herron and Saine, but it is way to early to tell.

With that being said I love the McKinley kids and hope that Morgan turns out to be a good one and eventually become a buckeye.

I think if Saine gets an offer it is probably on the defensive side of the ball. It's also very reasonable to think that Williams could come in as a CB. I like Herron and Mabin a lot and agree with the consensus that despite Bradley Stephens undeniable talent and ties to OSU, I would be at least a little surprised to see us go outside the state to get a RB next year.

Wad,

I definitely think there should be room for 2 rb's next year. I would love to see us bring in both Williams and Stephens. The thing you have to remember with Stephens is that he is more than a RB, as he can play split out wide, and return kicks. Imo, Stephens and Williams are the best 2 options, and are different backs. Makes perfect sense to me...:)

I totally agree that we will be after two RBs next year. I just think Williams could end up as a better corner than RB which would leave us two spots for Stephens/Mabin/Herron/etc.

Oh, I see... As long as your scenario includes tOSU landing both Williams and Stephens, it is perfect... :)

Definitely...no matter what position they end up playing. I hope we get the entire lot of dynamic playmakers looking at OSU. Williams, Stephens, Dailey, Gamble, Torrence, Baab and Hinds are all kids that could play a number of positions next year. That's something that I really like about next year's class.
