He has run a hand-timed 4.3 and <!--StartFragment -->is also a standout on the track where he runs the 100, 200 and 4x100 relay. His fastest time in the 100 meters was a 10.8. His favorite team growing up was ND.

There's a guy from St. Ed's over on BN that's been trumpeting about him all year. OH is loaded at RB next year with Williams, Gamble, Mabin, and Herron, toss in Stephens from TX, I'm not sure how much attention Frank will get from tOSU as a RB. If he can play CB and return kicks with his speed, he may stay on the radar.

Frank Edmonds

ST. EDWARD | Junior

Position: Tailback

Superstar stats: The 5-8, 183- pounder garnered Division I all-district and all-state honors. He rushed for 2,036 yards, scored 22 touchdowns, averaged better than 7 yards per carry and was chosen as The Plain Dealer's Cuyahoga County Offensive Player of the Year.

What you didn't know: "I do about 1,000 push-ups every night. And I can dance like Usher."

I got a chance to see St. Eds in the state semi-final this season and I was really impressed with their safety/running back (Edmonds was hurt for the majority of the game) I think his last name was Oliver. Also, they have a wideout (literally a wide body) who will grow into a tight end for the next level. His name slips my mind right now. I wish I would have gotten to see more of Frank. Unfortunately for Edmonds I think his size will work against him here and he will get about the same kind of offers as Tyrell Sutton (lower tier Big Ten and most of the MAC).

I've wondered if Ohio isn't full of a bunch of average backs with no clear standout.

In the most recent Ohio High, Kyle Lamb says that Frankie's size may scare off some schools but his numbers don't lie. 191 carries for 1,504 yards (7.9 avg) and 17 TDs.

I saw him at an indoor meet a few weeks ago. He definately has a rb body. He is built like a tank with huge thighs. At the meet he blew everyone away in the 55m so he does have impressive speed. I just don't think he has the build of a potential db.

I could easily see Edmonds at a place like Iowa, where they love smaller RBs, or at a school like Illinois, where Zook is just trying to get his team faster.
